1. A Private Sauna Room for You
You know the feeling: you're in that old sauna at the gym clinching your teeth, hoping no one else comes. Before you know it, you're surrounded by other gym-goers who can't wait to talk about politics, completely oblivious to the volume of their voice. They go in and out of the door, letting all the heat out. They skipped deodorant today and the pre-sauna shower. Meanwhile, the sound of AC-DC's Dirty Deeds is still clearly audible from the weight room.
Our sauna is in its own private room with changing area, shower and a state-of-the-art infrared sauna. When you book the sauna, it's all yours. No one will try to chat or do some weird, unnecessary naked yoga in front of you.
2. It's Cleaner Than Your Gym's Sauna
Here's what it's like using that dirty, old gym sauna: After you navigate the communal shower and slippery floor, you make your way into the sauna and immediately notice that this thing probably hasn't been cleaned in weeks. The smell of sweat, the moldy floors and unidentifiable fluids everywhere make relaxing way harder than it needs to be.
Our sauna is cleaned in between every use. We disinfect every surface with organic cleaning vinegar. There are no butt prints on the glass or benches. You'll never find mold.
3. Our Sauna is Infrared
Ever thought you were going to die while using your gym's sauna? Most low-quality sauna's have one setting: hot to death. They start at 180 degrees, so hot they burn the inside of your nose when you try to breath. This give you a panicky sensation and most people can only hang in there for five minutes. Sometimes it's so oppressive that you can't stay in long enough to sweat, nevermind relax.
Our sauna uses non-visible, infrared light panels that heat the tissues of the body directly, allowing the temperature to be lower (160 degrees, tops. Lower if you choose) and make you sweat even more. There are specific health programs for whatever benefits you're after like detox, pain relief, anti-aging and much more.
4. Pair with a Float
We take relaxation seriously! Most gyms exist to help you train, not recover.
If you're training, you need a recovery plan. That's where we come in. We like to think of the Lab as a place to unplug, reset and recharge and the perfect way to do that is with a float session followed by infrared sauna. You can't get that at your gym.
5. Sweat, Stretch and Shower
Our sauna is in its own private room, unlike the one at your gym.
Feel free to take a break from the sauna to take a cool shower, stretch or do some yoga poses in the private stretching area. Sauna users love to book a 60-minute session and do 10-15 minute rounds in the sauna, followed by contrast bathing and stretching. It is a major upgrade!
BONUS: Bring a Friend...Free
Want to bring a friend to your appointment? You can't do that at your gym if they're not a member. What about a husband and wife? The gym sauna's are separated by gender. Not so at the Lab.
We allow anyone to bring a friend to use the sauna at no extra cost!
